Coach Chris, 

My experience in England was one I will never forget. Getting a chance to play with REAL professionals was something very few people get to have, especially when you are just a kid like me. The soccer, or "football," was very fast pace. I was able to play with players that had a skill level that you do not find very often in the states. The training schedule was tough but well worth the time and effort. Just from training a few days with the team, I already found myself a better goal keeper.  We were also able to train at very nice facilities, far different from any normal soccer field. I must say my favorite part about the training was definitely the free meals we had everyday both before and after. On the social side of things, I made many friends. My new friend Patrick Antelmi is a friend whom I will keep in touch with for life. He is only 17 years old and is getting paid every week to play soccer! He is definitely living the dream I wish to live. This trip was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and none of it would have been possible without Coach Chris Castell. Before the start of the Fall season, I was debating on moving over to play soccer at Clay County. A few of my friends play over there and it would have been an easy move for me. However, I sat down to have a long talk with Coach Chris. He told me that it was completely my decision on where I want to play, but that he will do whatever it takes to help me succeed. This meant a lot to me so I decided to stay and play at Westside where I have currently been playing for almost twelve years. Without the help of Coach Chris, none of this would have been offered to John and I and we truly thank him for his support both on and off the field.
